Deeker's Message of the Week

DNS Outage
Some of you may have found that the site was down on Friday night (04/09/10). This was
due to a hiccup concerning the domain name server (DNS). For the technically
challenged, a domain name server is what allows us mere humans to access web sites
via familiar and intuitive names, like deeker.com. Without a domain name server,
we'd all have to keep track of IP addresses and access every web site this way.
Stories Updated
I have posted new and updated stories received from over the past two weeks. There were
a few for which I did not have time. If I did not get your story posted, don't despair.
As long as it wasn't only ten lines long or shitfully written, you can count on seeing
it next week.
It also seems that my tentative plan to have everything ready tonight didn't come to
fruition, so my next proposed idea is to post new stories on Sunday and then post everything
else on Thursday, my second of my two days off in the middle of the week.
Happy Birthday Hobbes!
My cat Hobbes turns 16 today. Contrary to popular belief, he's not 112 in human
years, but he would certainly qualify for social security if cats were eligible
for such benefits. He's still going and he is still active for his age. He's
been a great feline companion and I feel very blessed to have him.
