Reader Ratings Updated and Announcement of Procedural Change
Some of you may have noticed that the Reader Ratings for the stories had not been updated for several weeks. You will notice that these numbers have at long last been updated. You will also notice that the presentation of these data is different; namely, there are no links to view the comments or the other metrics (ages, diaper usage and types,
etc.) I did away with including the comments and metrics, not because of abuse (granted, there were a few stupid remarks here and there that were either edited out or the entire response, if deemed to be supremely asinine, was cast out altogether), but simply because the time involved to process these numbers exceeded my ability to keep pace with it. I had over 1,700 entries to process dating back to January when I realized that there is no way in hell this can be done, so I have greatly simplified the process. What you will see now is a series of four numbers, representing the number of responses from 4 through 1, respectively. These numbers are then presented as an average along with the total number of responses.
So should you still leave remarks or comments? Absolutely! I will keep this information on record and I will share it with anyone who requests it.
