Deeker's Message of the Week

November 27, 2005

Black Friday

For those of you who may not be familiar with the term, "Black Friday" refers to the day after Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) where many retailers put on big sales and open their doors at ungodly early hours, often greeting throngs of shoppers. Oftentimes the scene is chaotic at best, and at worst can lead to in-store fighting and trampling of people as hundreds of shoppers compete against one another to get the best deals. The situation can be quite maddening, both for shoppers and for the hapless souls who have to work in these stores on this dreadful day, while the CEOs and the other suits-- in their cushy, comfortable offices and far removed from the mayhem that they themselves created for their hard-working, underpaid drones to deal with-- orgasmically stroke themselves to thoughts of generating big revenues for themselves and for their shareholders (hence the term "in the black", though the term's negative connotations would likely be more applicable to the beleaguered minimum-wage slaves who have to face this hectic and stressful day each year.) You can read more about this phenomenon on Wikipedia.

"So what does Black Friday have to do with diapers?", you might be asking as you read the above passage. Not much, really. I just didn't want to post another "No messages this week" MOTW, so instead, when my time and my creativity allow, I will create polls/surveys that may not necessarily be on topic, but I will give them a twist where diapers are applicable. So I invite everyone to take a moment to participate in the poll below. The first questions pertain to the shopping in general, while the remainder of the questions will pertain to diapers and shopping on Black Friday. The results will be posted next week, QOTW style.

New Diaper Boy Drawings Posted (Set #095)

Set 95 of the Diaper Boy Drawings has been posted. I invite everyone to check them out, save them, print them and share them with your friends and families, or post them to your own site if you have one (just don't try selling them).

Here's a tip: if you take the time to convert them to JPG and burn them to a CD you might be able to view them on your DVD player, as some DVD players support the ability to view still JPEG images (I know Apex models do). If any of you would like me to post JPEG versions of the drawings to save you the trouble of converting them yourself, please let me know and I will gladly do this.

Have a good week, everyone. Stay happily and thickly diapered!
