Part 141
(Tuesday, September 14, 1993, continued)
When Chris gets home he strips off his pants and joins the family at the dinner table wearing just his disposable diaper and his shirt. During dinner Chris' dad reminds him that he must keep his grades up in order to retain his privileges to babysit Cody and Jordan after school and run the diaper club. After dinner is done Chris gets his changed and put into his cloth diapers by Cindy. Next, he works on his Reading class homework. After awhile he decides to take a break and call Tony. They talk for several minutes and discuss ideas to help Tony find a boy in diapers to babysit. Tony also brings up his concerns that his jealousy may jeopardize their friendship, but Chris assures Tony that this would never happen. Shortly after Chris hangs up the phone rings again. Derek asks Chris if he wants to come over and play some games with him before he goes to bed, Chris gets permission and goes over to the house next door wearing just his super thick cloth diapers and shirt. While Chris is over there Derek shows him his new "Poopitus" story, which Chris really enjoys. Before Chris leaves he assists Jennie with changing Steven's and Derek's diapers.
Part 142
Most of Chris' day at school seems to go without any major incidents. Even gym class goes okay, though Chris and the other boys feel suspicious when Mr. Brown and some of his favorite students confer amongst themselves. During Chris' boring fifth period Reading class he is called into the office. Chris fears he is in trouble and unsure of what he would have been called in for, but then he finds that he is called in to speak to Dr. Austin, the school's psychiatrist. Dr. Austin brings it to Chris' attention that three of his teachers had reported Chris' behavior centered around his obsession with diapers to be causing disruptions in their classes. He asks Chris several questions in confidentiality in order to help develop a profile on Chris. He assures Chris that he is not attempting to make Chris give up his diapers, but instead, he wants to help Chris to control these feelings and not to express them so openly in the classroom. The discussion between Dr. Austin and Chris lasts through the remainder of the class period, before Chris is dismissed to go to lunch.
During the lunch period Chris talks about his visit with the school psychiatrist, Dr. Austin, with his friends. After lunch Chris returns to Dr. Austin to take some tests. The tests are relatively simple mental exercises, none of which seem to have any relevance to Chris' obsession with diapers. Once the tests are done Chris is dismissed and he returns to his class. He tells Megan about Dr. Austin in the remaining time in the period. He tells Angela in his last period class about Dr. Austin. Angela tells Chris that Dr. Austin had spoken to her brother Todd about wearing diapers. After school, Tony joins Chris and Megan on the bus. Once they are off the bus they continue to discuss options for helping Tony to find a diaper-wearing boy he can babysit after school. Once they reach Megan's house the boys part ways with Megan, and Chris and Tony continue on to Cody's and Jordan's house.
Tony joins Chris for the afternoon at Cody's and Jordan's house. The boys do various fun things together, everything from changing each other's diapers to looking at photos and drawings that Chris had brought for the two younger boys to look at. When Chris' mom shows up to pick him up she asks why Tony was with Chris and Chris explains. His mother tells him she has dinner waiting at home and doesn't have time to take Tony home, so after Chris suggests that Tony join them for dinner his mom reluctantly agrees. Chris also thinks about letting Tony stay overnight, but before his mom agrees she informs Chris she has something else to talk to him about. This makes Chris feel uneasy.
While Chris and Tony are riding back to Chris' house, Chris' mom hands him an opened envelope she received in the mail from the school. Chris pulls out the contents and sees that it is a photocopy of the drawing Mr. Eastman had confiscated from him, along with an explanatory note. Chris feels disgusted at Mr. Eastman's way of handling the issue and not just letting it rest. Because of this, Tony is not allowed to stay overnight. He is allowed to stay for dinner, however, only because Chris' mother doesn't have time to run him home with the rest of the family waiting. During the dinnertime Chris is nervous, knowing that if his father finds out about the drawing his dad would not be quite so easy on him as his mother was doing. Instead his father talks about Chris coming home on his own bus and riding his bike to the boys' house for babysitting so his mother won't have to pick him up in the middle of preparing dinner every evening. Chris agrees to this. After dinner is finished Tony is taken home. Back home, Chris and his mother have a talk about the issue. Chris' mother tells him she expects him to bring his grade and his performance up in Mr. Eastman's class or he will lose his privileges, such as sleepovers and running the diaper club. She also advises Chris to not express his feelings about wearing diapers so openly while in school. Chris is relieved that his mother didn't scold him too harshly. He gives Tony a call before bedtime to let him know what happened.
During gym class Mr. Brown is unusually nice to Chris and his friends. It turns out the boys that seem to be on Mr. Brown's good side are all absent. Mr. Brown lets Chris and his friends spend time in the weight room instead of play football. Chris is suspicious, but accepts the situation. While in the weight room a kid named Shane, who had previously made fun of Chris for his diapers, had a poop accident and had to leave class to change his clothes. After P.E. Chris goes to Mr. Eastman's class. After his mother had threatened to take away his privileges if he didn't improve his performance in Mr. Eastman's class, Chris forces himself to remain attentive and not allow his mind to wander.
By the time their mother is due to come home both the boys have wet and pooped in their cloth diapers, which the boys love wearing. Chris debates whether or not to leave the boys in the cloth diapers and let their mother see them in them and Chris decides to do this. Sue is quite amazed at the magnitude of the Thickies diapers her boys are wearing. She decides to let the boys continue wearing them and have Chris pick up the diapers the next day after they have been washed. When Chris asked Sue if she knew how to fold cloth diapers she said she did and added that she babysat as a child. She related to Chris a story about a four-year-old boy whom she had diapered. As Chris realized he was running late to get home he hurriedly left on his bike.
Chris' enthusiasm about the upcoming weekend is dampened when he is called into the office of Mr. Swain, the vice principal. Chris is confused and fearful, knowing he had done nothing wrong. When he is confronted by Mr. Swain he is presented a series of photographs taken with an instant camera. The photos show a large pile of soiled Depends diapers (which are green) stuffed into the car that belongs to Mr. Brown. Chris states that he has no idea what was going on and is unaware of such a situation occurring. He further maintains his innocence by pointing out that the diapers are green and none of the boys he knows wear such diapers. In spite of Chris' defense and his maintaining his non-involvement in the matter, Mr. Swain refuses to allow Chris to defend himself. All of the other diaper boys in Mr. Brown's class are also called in and given the same treatment. All of the boys are held in the detention classroom for half the day. The boys are not permitted to talk or even look at one another, so they are not able to discuss their concerns. All they can do is sit in silence and think. During this time, Chris figures it out, that Hugh, Brent and Russ all participated in framing Chris and the other boys by depositing dirty diapers (worn by the non-diaper boys) and making it appear that Chris and his friends were responsible. The misunderstanding results in Chris and the other boys being required to serve time in after-school detention in addition to Saturday detention. This prospect makes Chris uneasy, fearing what his parents will do, including the loss of many of his privileges, before somehow being able to prove that he was not connected to the incident in any way. Later in the day Chris is called back in to talk to Mr. Carberry, the principal. All of the other diaper boys are also called in at the same time. The boys are all fearful that more problems are being brought to their attention, but they are relieved to learn that an investigation into the matter absolves the diaper boys of having to serve any time in detention. Meanwhile, the perpetrators, who turn out to be Hugh and the other boys in cahoots with Mr. Brown, are being punished for their failed stunt.
After Chris gets home from school he finds that Lisa is home but Cindy is gone. Lisa tells Chris to call his mother at work immediately. Chris is worried that his mom may not have been called to be told that he was off the hook and not in trouble, or that there may have been a misunderstanding. Nervously, he calls his mother. She is aware of what had happened but she just wants to make sure that Chris was not actually involved in it or trying to get another kid in trouble. After he finishes talking to his mom he realizes that he is running late and he needs to get to Cody's and Jordan's house. He asks Lisa to take him there but she insists that he ride his bike and try to hurry. Chris realizes he needs to do something so the boys aren't left at home by themselves. He calls Megan and asks her to go over to the house to watch the boys until he arrives. In the meantime, Chris has Lisa diaper him in his cloth diapers. After he is in his cloth diapers he heads over to the boys' house and meets with Megan, who is there watching the boys. Megan and Chris change Cody's and Jordan's diapers and then send them out to play in the back yard. Chris and Megan sit on the back porch together to talk about what had happened that day. Later on Sue comes home and Chris explains what had happened that day. Sue assures Chris that if he's going to be late he can have Megan or even Irene come down to watch the boys until he arrives. Before Chris leaves she pays Chris sixty dollars for the week. Chris thought she overpaid him, but she then told Chris that she gave him an extra ten dollars for being so good to the boys. Chris asks Sue if he can come to get the boys for the diaper boy club meeting the next day. Sue said Chris could do this, but he would not be paid for the time, which Chris accepted as he wanted to get the boys more involved in diaper-related activities with the other boys. Sue then gives Chris his cloth diapers that she had washed for him before he heads back for home.
