True Accounts Submission Guidelines

As always, the same set of Guidelines will apply to the accounts listed here as they do for all other sections of this site. Namely, I will only accept accounts from boys and adults with boyhood diaper experiences. I will not accept anything where the boy's gender identity is compromised in any way (i.e. treated like a girl). I realize that, unlike with writing fiction, that some of you may have actually had such experiences and cannot change what really happened. If this is the case, even if it only occurred once, please leave out such details, otherwise your account will not be accepted, or will have such details edited out at my discretion.
Sexual content may be included in your account, but please use discretion and keep in mind the younger readers of this page.
I will accept submissions for this section upon the good faith of the submittor and will presume that it is a true account to tbe submittor's best recollection.
While I will, of course, accept stories which are based on your true experiences but contain significant embellishments, I only want to list purely true accounts here. Embellished stories will be listed in the Contributed Stories section.
Note: I do want to make it clear that I do not connote the embellishment of a story as a "bad" thing nor should it necessarily be construed as lying. It merely means that the author included some elements of fantasy or wishful hopes to make his story more interesting. In other words, feel free to pepper up your story if you wish, but please be honest and indicate that it is a blend of fact and fiction.
While there is no maximum limit to the length of your account, this section is intended for relatively short accounts (less than 25K). Longer accounts may read more like a story and will thus be "upgraded" to "story" status. If you have the time, the ambition and the ability to write out a longer, more detailed account, I certainly will encourage you to do this.
As for minimal length, please include enough information to make your story unique and interesting to readers. I won't accept anything that I deem to be too short. In other words, I won't post anything that says something like "I started wearing diapers when I was 5. My mom changed me every night until I was 14 and then I started changing them myself." If you need help on deciding what to include, read the Suggested Content section.
Unlike the Contributed Stories section, true accounts listed here are presumed to be complete and will not be relegated to "Discontinued" status if not updated within 90 days.
You may submit updates and/or revisions as needed. Longer, multi-chapter accounts will be listed in the Contributed Stories section. Likewise, an account that is initially submitted for this section, but is later appended with several parts or chapters would become more like a full story and will be "upgraded" and relocated to the Contributed Stories section.
If, at the outset of writing your account, you intend to update it periodically like a story, please indicate this so that I can properly catagorize your submission. Likewise, if at some point you wish to have your account listed as a story instead, please let me know.
Please write your account in the first-person voice. That is, write it from your own point of view. Addressing yourself in the third person (e.g. "John wore diapers every day..." vs. "I wore diapers every day...") makes it seem less like a true account and more like a fictional story.
Use a nickname, a "handle", first name with last initial or vice versa, etc., if you prefer not to be identified by your real of full name. If someone else has already submitted an account using a name like yours (e.g. John D. for John Doe), I will differentiate these with numbers (John D. #2).
Email addresses will only be posted if you specifically indicate this. Your privacy is respected.
Please note that there is a numbering scheme in place for differentiating multiple True Accounts stories submitted by people of the same first name (e.g. john_01.html, john_02.html, etc.) If the submitter provides his last name or last initial the last initial will be used instead, and then if necessary, the numerical suffixing (e.g. john_a.html, john_b.html, john_c1.html, john_c2.html, etc.)
Because each of the number-suffixed submissions is presumed to be written by and is about a different person than the others, if you are updating a story whose filename is suffixed with a number, please do not assign a new number as if to treat it as a new story.. This causes a great deal of confusion on my end and results in extra work. The existing story will have the new material appended to it instead. Your cooperation with this matter is much appreciated.

Here is a list of some questions to consider. Many of these questions are based on this site's Survey. Please refer to the survey for more detailed questions to consider covering in your account. Use this list as an outline or a guide for writing your account, with which you can then fill in the details. Be creative and add any details you may wish to add. Not all questions will apply to everyone. Keep in mind that what may seem boring and mundane to you because it was part of your daily life, is likely going to be new and hopefully interesting to most other readers.

How old were you during the times you were diapered?
For what reasons were you diapered?
What type(s) of diapers did you wear? Cloth or disposable? Which brands?
Did you ever use makeshift diapers?
If cloth diapers, how many diapers did you wear or how many layers thick were they?

How did you use your diapers? Pee, poop, both?
How often did you wear diapers?
Did you have a history of bedwetting?
- During what ages did you wet the bed?
- Did you ever start again?
- Did you ever try to get your diapers back if you stopped wetting?
- Did you continue to fake wetting the bed?
- How often did you wet the bed?
- How heavily did you wet the bed?
- Did any of your siblings wet their beds?
- How did your siblings/friends/relatives react to your bedwetting, especially any non-bedwetters?
Describe how your toilet training went
- How old were you daytime trained? Nighttime trained? For peeing and for pooping?
- Were you ever caught wearing and/or buying/stealing diapers? What happened?
- How did your siblings' toilet training compare to yours?
- Did your parents ever yell at you or punish you during toilet training?
- What incentives did your parents use to get you to use the toilet?
Were you ever diaper-disciplined?
- How often?
- How long did the punishment last each time?
- Were you forced to wear just diapers?
