Deeker's Message of the Week

I would like to thank everyone who wrote in to offer their kind words of support and encouragement in response to last week's MOTW, in which I publically lambasted a particular individual for his most asinine comments regarding suspect diaper sightings and this site in general. To be honest, I thought more people might think that I came across as bitter or hateful. After going through unemployment and dealing with car problems last month, I have to admit I was quite a grouch and I would hope that most people understand. I'm working again, so this alone helps me feel better and more secure about my monthly financial standing.

As for the issue regarding false sightings, I have taken a more aggressive stance against them and have been less lenient with what I will accept. IP addresses are also being recorded from these sighting reports, so this will help me to ferret out the ones in which I suspect to be coming from the same source in spite of appearing to be different from one another. I have been told that there has been discussion on message boards regarding the false sightings, so I do hope word gets out that this problem has been dealt with head-on. This is not to say that you should never question any of the sightings anymore, as there may be a few that you might still be more apt to judge as false than I would. A few made-up sightings may still slip in, but I at least I hope that I can significantly reduce the number of such sightings.
