Deeker's Message of the Week
July 14, 2002
Either Feast or Famine
After last week's wonderful record-breaker of a story update (6 new True Accounts,
4 new Contributed Stories and 5 updated Contributed Stories), this week
has turned out to even out the average. In other words, if you haven't already
looked, there isn't much of anything new this time around. If anything, I
can attribute this to possibly another record-breaker of sorts, namely, the
weather. Looking at the Weather Channel's web site,
it's pretty clear that most of the United States, especially out here in the west,
has been under a gripping and oppressive heat wave. Worse yet, it seems that
here in Idaho we're bearing the brunt of the heat with temperatures as high
as 110° F (43° C) for the past few days. I hate it! With this in mind, I can't
blame anyone for not having the motivation to sit down and write a story,
even if you have air conditioning. Heat saps us of energy and I haven't
felt up to writing much myself. Thanks to those of you who contributed new material
to the site in spite of what the weather may have been doing to you in your
part of the country, or the world.
Great Response to the New Surveys
Last week I added two new surveys to the site: the
Diaper Ratings Survey
and the Diaper Discipline Survey.
I am pleased to report that many of you have already participated in these
surveys. I look forward to seeing more responses.
