Using Boys' White
Briefs as Diapers
A Guide for Parents
and Sisters
Updated 08/30/09
Introduction
Just because a boy wears underwear doesn’t mean he’s
reliably potty trained nor adequately skilled in keeping his butt wiped and his
briefs free of skid marks. Lots of boys have accidents (some of which are not
really accidents but such toilet mishaps are the result of mere carelessness
and apathy), and boys often don’t wipe well (if at all).
Many parents would like to keep their boys in diapers
permanently, but unfortunately, diapers that will fit older and larger boys are
not always readily available, and the ones that are available are usually
disposable diapers or pseudo-diaper products such as Goodnites
and similar items whose purpose and usefulness is greatly limited (only made
for peeing in) and the design of such products goes against many Deekerian
tenets (mainly lack of thickness and in colors to make such garments look less
like diapers). For various reasons, parents may want to use cloth diapers on
their older boys, but cloth diapers that will fit a larger boy are oftentimes
even harder to come by in a pinch (they usually have to be ordered online).
Other parents may not want to use diapers on their sons in
spite of demonstrating a genuine need for wearing diapers. They may be too
afraid of how others who know them might react to seeing them buy diapers or
they may not want to deal with their garbage cans being stuffed full of used
diapers. On the other hand, no parent wants to deal with a boy who can’t keep
his underwear clean.
Oftentimes, situations with boys that require diapers to
be immediately available cannot wait. Most often, such urgent reasons will be
for punishment or for a sudden bout of diarrhea or bedwetting (reasons which
may require appropriate diaper punishment), or the boy is simply being defiant
and deliberately wetting and soiling himself. Such behavior is smelly and
unsanitary at best and disgusting at worst. In any case, such unacceptable
behavior from boys is very unpleasant for others who have to share the same
spaces as the boy uses, so immediate action is often needed. The solution is
simple: just keep him in his underwear— lots and lots and lots of underwear!
The method described in this article calls for having
these boys wear several pairs of tighty whities (plain white boys'
briefs) as diapers. Many boys are going to just end up soiling their briefs and
staining them up anyway, so they might as well be used as diapers (they already
look like diapers, so why not?) While even a very thick set of briefs may not
work quite as well for containing a boy’s pee and poop as well as real diapers,
if enough pairs of underwear are used (with some other modifications, which are
given below), they do work.
What follows is a guide for parents on how to diaper a boy
with his underwear. If he already has an existing supply of plain white briefs
you have a head start, but he is going to still need a lot more underwear.
The Briefs
- ONLY
BUY PLAIN WHITE BRIEFS! This
bears repeating: ONLY BUY PLAIN
WHITE BRIEFS! Absolutely NO colored briefs or briefs with cartoon
prints are to be used! His underwear is not for fashion or to display his
favorite cartoon characters or superheroes. The idea is for your son's
underwear to look just like thick diapers, and only plain white underwear
will do for this purpose. The boy should have no choice except for which waistband styles
he likes. Anything but plain white underwear will distract observers and
the boy himself from recognizing the pure, unadulterated essence of what
the boy is wearing and why.
- Buy
an ample supply of underwear in as many boys' sizes as you can get a hold
of, starting with the size that will fit next to your son's body. You may
need to go to several different stores to avoid drawing too much attention
for buying such large quantities of boys' underwear. At least four sizes should be used up to
and including boys' size 18. While boys' sizes tend to be designed with a
higher rise than men's briefs, you may use smaller men's sizes if necessary.
The larger pairs, besides fitting more easily, will also rise up higher on
your son's body. Be sure to get an equal number of pairs of underwear in
each size. The smaller, innermost pairs will inevitably become stained and
dingy from repeated soiling, but if the briefs are of good quality they
should last until your son has outgrown them. The next size up will then
become his innermost pairs and may be worn next to his body. Be sure to
keep a plentiful supply of new pairs to be worn on the outside to maintain
the look of pure whiteness. Because skin tones and colors and other
patterns will show through a pair of white briefs, it's important for the
pairs underneath to all be white as the whiteness will be amplified with
each layer stacked atop one another.
- If
possible, get double-seated or better
yet, quad-seated briefs. These
are available at www.tigerunderwearstore.com.
If you cannot buy this many pairs of double- or quad-seated underwear at a
time (they are expensive) or if you want to make the multi-seated briefs
to your own specifications you can add the extra panels yourself. For best
results buy several packs of plain white T-shirts and cut out the material
from the shirts to be used for the extra panels. Alternately, you can buy
the cotton material in bulk from a fabric store or online fabric supplier.
You could even use the material from older, worn-out pairs of your son's
underwear, though if they are soiled or dingy they may lessen the whiteness
of the briefs somewhat. For best results use 3 to 5 added panels in each brief (the original brief itself
is one layer, of course, so this range creates briefs with four to six
layers). The added panels should span half
or more of the seat with the brief laid flat. While you're at it you
might as well sew the fly fronts shut since there will obviously be no
need for access to his penis as the briefs will be layered thickly.
- Get
as many different styles of waistbands as you can get a hold of. Order from
the Internet since most stores will not stock every brand available. Be
sure that the waistbands are wide and made from a strong elastic material.
If you can find the right type of dye that is used on waistbands you can
make up any of several waistband stripe styles on your own. Sharpie markers
are a cheap alternative solution, and they do come in several colors (most
notably black, red and blue, which are recommended).Unfortunately, the ink
will still fade after a few washes.
- If
you want complete control over the size and design of your son's briefs
and you have the time and the skill, you can make them entirely by hand
(saves money, too!) You can find patterns for making boys' briefs in
fabric stores and from the Internet. It is highly recommended that you
increase the height/rise of the garment by at least six inches over what
the pattern calls for.
Storage
Designate an entire set of drawers to hold his underwear
and his underwear only. Your son is going to need lots of underwear and plenty
of space will be needed to store all of it, so use as large of drawers as
possible. Each drawer should be organized to contain a particular size and/or
brand or style of briefs and should be conspicuously labeled. You may also want
to consider storing your son's underwear on open shelves where he and everyone
else can see the tall stacks of folded briefs.
Pants, Shorts and Pajamas
Your son will NOT be wearing any pants of any kind, so you
might as well get rid of them (either donate them to Goodwill or the Salvation
Army, or if they are soiled and unwearable, have a
ceremonial burning). The same goes for shorts and pajama bottoms. He will still
need one (but ONLY one) pair of pants to wear to school and any to other places
outside of the home where he will have to wear pants. Only supply him with one pair of pants. These pants need to
be sized so that they will fit over your son's multiple pairs of underwear,
which, in spite of being thick, will likely be worn at levels of less thickness
than what he will wear when he is pantsless. Your son
should wear enough underwear to make pants of any kind too thick to fit over
them, thereby forcing him to keep his multiple
underpants fully exposed at all times, especially in the presence of
other children (double especially if there are girls present).
Colored Briefs and Boxer Shorts
If your son has any colored briefs (including cartoon
print briefs), boxer shorts or boxer briefs, get rid of them at once. Nobody
wants to wear used underwear (granted there are some exceptions, but that's
another fetish altogether), so you might as well burn then, too. All your son
will be wearing from here on out are plain white briefs.
Putting the Briefs On
- For
every size of underwear your son has, he should wear at least six to eight pairs (more if they
fit) and then move up to the next size. A minimum of 24 total pairs is recommended, though 12 pairs is the absolute minimum. 36 pairs is
ideal, and anything over 48 pairs
is bonus padding. There is no theoretical maximum number of pairs, but the
overall shape of the briefs should conform to the shape of his body.
- Pull
each pair up as high as it can go. The innermost pairs may be pulled up in
between his buttocks, though giving him a wedgie
is not recommended. Some slack should be given to allow for easier release
of poop.
- While
each pair should be pulled up as high as it can go, allow for several
waistbands to show in the rear so that others can see that he has on
several pairs of underwear (as if the thickness and the extra whiteness
from the pairs underneath are not already enough of an indication).
- Some
pairs may be put on backwards. For best results, some of the middle pairs
may be alternated with every other pair facing backwards. The seats of
these pairs can be pulled up high enough to approach your son's chest.
Make sure these waistbands are pulled up high enough in the front to be
seen. The fly front on the seat provides extra padding in the rear, but
unfortunately the rise of the fly in the rear is inadequate on all
manufactured boys' briefs (another reason to consider making your own
briefs).
- While
each pair should be worn right side out, it's okay for some pairs to be
worn inside out. The waistbands usually have the same stripe patterns on
both sides, and having a few pairs worn backwards will expose the label
and thus the size of the underwear. A six-year-old boy with size 12
underwear on towards the top of his stack will show just how many pairs
(and sizes he has on).
Shirts
As with wearing real diapers, a shirt is optional (note that
unlike the briefs, only one shirt at a time is needed). If the shirt is worn,
however, it should either be short enough to expose the briefs in their
entirety (including the waistbands), or better yet, the shirt should have
enough length to be deeply tucked into the briefs so that the height/rise of
the briefs and all the waistbands are fully visible. The shirt should be tucked
in so that the majority of the briefs (at least 3/4 of them) are over the shirttail.
For best results, use plain white undershirts since they compliment the white
briefs and because the bottom of the shirt is likely to become wet from urine
and possibly from runny stool or diarrhea.
Plastic Pants
- Because
your son will not be able to get such a high number of briefs off to pee into
the toilet (and he shouldn't be using the toilet at all anyway), he will
be expected to pee in his briefs. Therefore, plastic pants are recommended.
These are also available from www.tigerunderwearstore.com
(called Step-Ins). The plastic pants should be clear
(translucent) so that the waistband stripes and the multi-layered seats
can still be seen through them.
- If
you cannot or do not want to get plastic pants and want your son's
multiple underpants to show unimpeded but yet do not want to deal with wet
spots (after all, this is why you're having him wear so much underwear in
the first place), try using baby or toddler-sized disposable diapers as
liners inside of your son's briefs. Even though the diaper will not be
visible, it should still be plain white on principle. Place the diaper so
that it spans from the middle of the crotch up to the front. Don't worry
about the back end; the extra layers of underwear (especially with
double-seated pairs) will be ample enough padding for the poop.
Daughters/Girls
Whether or not your other sons or other boys who spend
time around your son also wear diapers or multiple pairs of underwear, the fact
that they, too, are boys, will probably not be nearly as impressed or as amused
as girls will be. If you have daughters (assuming they are at least old enough
to recognize what your son is wearing and express her thoughts about what she
sees and knows), encourage them to become involved. Answer their questions and
encourage them to talk about their observations and their thoughts. Let them
know that their brother has to poop in his underwear and has to wear his
underwear so thick that he cannot wear any pants over it. Encourage her to feel
good about being a girl since girls don’t soil themselves and make themselves stinky and instead use the toilet, and because of
this, girls get to wear pants and recognize that wearing pants is a privilege
earned by practicing proper hygiene. Even though girls’ underwear is much
thinner and they can keep it cleaner, girls don’t have to wear it out in the
open. To further differentiate themselves from boys, girls should be encouraged
to remain dressed, though if a girl wishes to do so, she may strut around in
her underwear to show her brother how thin and small her underwear is compared
to her brother’s thick, bulky plain white multiple briefs. Her underwear has
color and character and doesn’t in any way resemble a diaper. She can show her
brother how clean her underwear is where she wipes her butt (just one thin
layer that allows the skin tone to show through the fabric), and most of all,
how she only has to wear one pair.
Your daughter should be encouraged to observe the various
features and characteristics of her brother’s multiple underpants:
- He
has NO PANTS ON.
- His
bare legs are dwarfed by layers and layers of thick underwear.
- The
thickness of his overall underwear (how many pairs is he wearing today?).
- The
multi-layered seats.
- Each
waistband’s stripe pattern.
- The
width of each waistband.
- The
number of waistbands that she can see (have her try to guess how many
waistbands are visible).
- The
variety of colors and patterns on the stripes on each waistband.
- The
seam where the seat meets the crotch, both from the rear view (standing
upright and when bent over), and from open-legged crotch view.
- The
rise of the outermost pairs (how high up the briefs go on his body).
- The
fly fronts.
- The
rise of the backwards-facing pairs by how they come up to his chest.
- Any
labels or tags that are visible from being put on inside out.
- How
deeply his shirt (his one shirt
as opposed to dozens of briefs)
is tucked into his briefs and how many pairs are in front of the shirt.
- When
admiring the size and magnitude of all that white material on his butt, also
think about whether there is poop underneath all that underwear (most
likely there is), how much poop there is, how long the poop has been
there, how bad it must smell, how it must feel, and how glad she must be
that she is not the one who has to wear all that underwear full of poop
for several hours.
- Changes
in thickness, appearance of outermost waistbands following changes.
- How
his thick underwear forces him to waddle.
- How
long he goes without wearing any pants.
Your daughter should also be encouraged to do the
following:
- Snap
his waistbands (note that “waistbands” is plural). Have her snap
them slowly and individually, listen to the waistbands snap and look at
each waistband snap itself back on top of the layers beneath, thickening
up as she releases each waistband.
- Observe
him from behind where she can see his butt, the most prominent area of his
multiple underpants, especially when he is bent over.
- If
there are stairs in the house, have her follow her brother up the stairs
to see his padded-up butt.
- Take
pictures of him in his multiple briefs (digital cameras make this easy to
do privately).
- Frequently
remind him of how cute he looks in all his underwear. Call attention to
his butt, his poop, his smells, his lack of pants, the number of pairs he
must have on, how because he is a boy that he can’t wear pants and has to
wear lots of underwear instead.
- Use
words such as butt, poop, stinky,
smelly, white, thick underwear, and diapers frequently while
describing her observations of him.
- Watch
him remove his underwear and see how much of a mess he makes of the inner
pairs. Let her see his poopy butt and perhaps help clean him up. This will
give her a greater sense of appreciation of her girlhood.
- Submit
a detailed account
of her observations and thoughts about her brother’s multiple underpants
to this web site.
- Have
her participate in the survey Girls
Whose Brothers Wear (Multiple) Tighty Whities.
