I have always had a soft babyish body caused by the fact that I can't do sports due to several medical conditions: epilepsy, heart problems, and vision problems. I have not gone into puberty so I have no pubic hair. all these factors make me think of myself as a very young child who needs lots of care.

Mike P	60	I'm disabled by spina bifida and I have no bowel or bladder control. I've always worn diapers. For a long time I had some issues regarding personal cleanliess. I think others who didn't understand my disability perceived me as dirty or "unclean" because of my odors, occasional leakage of urine, and my soiling accidents. I think their perceptions influenced me at different times.
Idonny	26	'm sure weraing diapers for my bedwetting made me dislike any pubic or other bodily hair growth. As soon as I could I started shaving off my pubic hair and only let it grow when I had to be naked in locker rooms in high school so I wouldn't be laughed at. Once I was out of high school I started shaving again and just love the smooth skin look, feel, and how it looks in my diaper.

David	--	Because I am different, I always am changed by someone else, and I have no control over where and when my diaper changes take place. They could be at the mall , in the infant changing area, at the doctors office, or at the park. I have to face the humilaition of having a very soiled diaper changed in front of kids my own age who always either laugh and make fun, or pity me.
Notinpublic	34	I felt odd and like I did not fit in. I enjoyed diapers the most, did not see anything sexual in girls (or boys), did not feel comfortable with teenage sex talk and jokes, felt I could not share my passion and that I was abnormal.
Mike P	60	A lot of people (family friends and other adults, other kids) didn't understand my disability and why I was incontinent. Some people thought that it was my fault, that I wasn't trying hard enough, etc. And so, whenever I smelled bad to others it was an obvious reminder of my problem and the fact that I couldn't keep myself clean and dry.
donny	26	I think the fact I wore diapers like little bedwetting boys who never have bodily hair it made me want to look the part. I always envied the young diaper wearing boys with their footed sleepers which I didn't have the option of having or wearing. Fortunately now I do.

Overall I was (and am to some extent) very shy and introvert, having these "strange" feelings that seemed abnormal and not knowing there is anyone else in the world with the same did not help.
Mike P	60	Somewhat obviously, I suppose, it was my entire diapered region (buttocks, crotch and genitals). I always smelled like pee there and obviously that area was dirty after a bowel movement. I tried using colognes and deodorants to hide the smell but it didn't always help. I had a very difficult time in school taking care of myself after a BM, and I was more focused on disposing of my accident in the toilet than getting myself cleaned- up; because I was such a mess, I didn't even attempt to wipe myself. I never felt clean afterwards.

Mike P	60	My mother was very understanding and never contributed to my feelings. Over time my father was less patient with my toileting issues and was less tolerant of my odors, less willing to help me when I needed to be helped, etc.
donny	26	because until age 11 I was pinned into my nightly diaper by mostly my mother which made me feel embarassed, ashamed, and like a little bedwetter. After that I was allowed to do my diaper myself.

Mike P	60	At school, as I got older I was less willing for other kids to see me while I was getting changed, especially after having an accident (BM). I attended a special school for the disabled and I wasn't the only one with spina bifida and in diapers. We all used the same bathrooms and so my diaper changes were in full view of other kids. As I got older, I was less comfortable with being seen in the boys' room (even when I was just wet) and I got more privacy in high school. I didn't like others seeing me and being more directly exposed to my odors (pee and poop) while I was getting changed.
donny	26	never wanted anyone seeing my private areas and never liked living in a room that had the faint pee/baby room smell to it. Also having plastic sheets on my matress and plastic cover on my pillow made my room seem justy like a 3 year old bedwetters room

Of course, I understood that we all had the same difficulty (spina bifida/incontinence) and that it wasn't our fault that we had to wear diapers. But it was unpleasant for me to encounter someone else in the bathroom being changed after their BM accidenr as it was an additional reminder of our cleanliness issues.
