List the items you have used for laxatives and their effectiveness:

NameAgeAnswer
 23
  • Enemas- very effective and fun
  • liquid glycerine- very violent
  • solid glycerine- more easy, not as effective
  • fleet suppository- effective, not as bad as there pills
jamie  17supositories, OJ, enema, and leafy vegies(lettuce)IT ALL WORKED!!!
Mike J  17mineral oil, prune juice
Doug  14Enemas, suppositories, magnesium citrate
Mike P.  57I've always used suppositories (sometimes enemas) to regulate (manage) my bowel movements. I'm bowel and bladder incontinent because of spina bifida and I need to wear diapers. In order to prevent BM accidents in my diapers, I need to take a suppository once a day or once every other day to "clean myself out." This method of bowel control is reliable, but sometimes I have a BM in my diaper. `
  38Fleet Phospho-soda
bob  12disposibles rock
messyme  40prune juice very effective stewed rhubarb not bad laxative chocolate highly effective
  Suppository
Ed  40Glycerine suppositories - quite effective
Describe the usual results of taking laxatives. Include details such as how long the effect takes to start, the duration/frequency of bowel movements, consistency of stool, volume of poop in diapers, etc.

NameAgeAnswer
23usually takes about a half hour and i will fill my diapers very full almost till leaking.
jamie  17about 10-15min I poop about 3-5 times each for about 2-6min,it is loose and wet then firmer. since I don't change after each pooping session it tends to leak a little
Mike J  17gives me diahrrea instead of BMs which I've been having issues with lately so it's coincidential to have this QOTW
Doug  14when i take the magnesiun ccitrate in about 1/2 hour to hour i start feeling like im goingot lose it and it cleans me out completely after several poops. i suppositories seem to only help me poop once and it is runny too. enemas are the family favorite to unconstipate anyone. u get filled with warm water and u have to poop everything out almost immediately,.
Mike P.  57Usually I have a bowel movement with 15 minutes or a half hour after I insert a suppository into my rectum. Since I do this about once a day, I usually have a well formed, although soft, stool to pass. Because I'm a paraplegic, I use a raised toilet seat that creates an open space between my buttocks and the opening of the commode. I can reach under myself to insert the suppository then I just stay there until I have a BM. Like everybody else, when I think I'm done, I wipe myself and flush. Over the years there have been times when I wasn't done, got off the toilet and diapered too soon and had an accident. The whole process can take 30 or 45 minutes, more or less.
38Generally withing 30-45 minutes after taking Fleet Phospho-soda I have a heavy bowel move. For the next hour or two I will have several more lighter moves that are quite watery.
messyme  40usualy i take a high fibre breakfast with 3 glasses of fresh oj this takes about 2 hours then I can have a heavy and copious bm then a more solid bm every hour or so though the frequency va
Ed  40About 30-50 after inserting the glycerine suppository there will be one big BM of fairly soft stool.
Describe the time when laxatives had the most profound effects on you and your bowels:

NameAgeAnswer
23after having four liquid glycerin suppositories at once i had severe cramps and a very messy diaper after only a few min.
jamie  17it happened quicker than I thought and I did not have the Diaper fastened (just used an enema) and because i was laying on my bed it went all over the bed.
Mike J  17around three years ago
Doug  14Occasionally mom has us get a spring cleaning...and so i had taken some magnesuim citrate and my baby siter came over as mom wento work and i hadnt gone to the bathroom yet. so we were watching tv and suddently i got cramps and pooped all over in my diaper and it squeezed out. i was 12 and it was embarassing cus she had to run me into the bathroom and stand me in the tub ans stripoff my diaper and then she showered me off and i had to bath in front of of her to maeke sure it a was all off me. no sooner that i was back ina clean diaper and i pooped again butit didnt leak this time. but she was mad and i had to strip off again ans shower agianas she watched me.
38It was probably the first time I took them. I had taken three pieces of chocolate laxative thinking that it would make me go sooner. Instead I just went more and it was much runnier.
messyme  40I once took some kind of nettle tea i thought i would never quit man!
What are your earliest memories of taking laxatives?

NameAgeAnswer
 23not long ago
jamie  17when I was 4
Mike J  17back when I was little and constipated at a friend's house. I was given prune juice and voila.
Doug  14mom or my brother or my babysitter sticking then up my butt at age 6 when i started being constipated. momsasys i tended to hold it in too long cuz i was focused on playing and i refused to go poop so it would get hard andthen iwsa in trouble and needed laxatives
Mike P.  57I've being using this technique since early childhood.
mike  11i wantedd to try them out
38I only recently started to experiment with laxatives.
messyme  40my mum giving me prune juice and cod liver oil
Ed  40As a child, my mother used to give me enemas when I was constipated. I only started taking laxatives much later.
Have you ever overdone it when taking laxatives or had laxatives affect you more than you expected? Explain:

NameAgeAnswer
 23no
15My diapers overflowed into my pants.
jamie  17an effect that was more than I expected yes
Mike J  17back then it has worked wonders for me, but now it leaves me more constipated or gives me diahrea. I'm starting to get kinda worried about it, but fortunately I have a doctor's appointment soon so he should help.
mike  11yes
38I took a whole bottle of the Fleet Phospho-soda (the amount you would take if you were going to have surgery) and I thought I was never going to stop crapping. I had bad cramps, sweats and my back was sore from pooping.
messyme  40I took 2 much bicarbonate of soda and messed my self twice whilst walking 2 work wasn't wearing a diaper.
How are you diapered when you have taken laxatives? Are you diapered any differently than at other times?

NameAgeAnswer
23extra thick with the butts in the first diaper or two removed for more room for poop
  15Same as usual.
jamie  17same realy
Doug  14usallu ina plactic shorts over my diapers as a jsut in case.
Mike P.  57Because I use suppositories to manage my BMs, most of the time I'm able to do my BM in the toilet (after a suppository). Ocasionally, if I'm not completely cleaned out, I sometimes have an accident in my diaper after going on the toilet.
mike  11i like to diaper me backwards after taking laxatives
38When I pee in diapers I don't mind staying in a wet diaper for a long time, even all day but when I poop I do get changed right away.
bob  12same one diaper
messyme  40no
Ed  40I am wearing a large adult disposable diaper under my thick cloth diapers.
What would you recommend for a laxative? What would you recommend against using and why?

NameAgeAnswer
23i would recomend enemas or suppositories as you have more control over the duration of the effects upposed to a pill
  15Take them all the time.
jamie  17I don't recomend it unless you are constipated but for me if I eat 2 bowls of lettuce then that is good enough
Mike J  17mineral oil, but use it wisely as I read that, if abused, it can give you pneumonia.
Doug  14yes very helpful plus they feel so good when i poop out everything
38Fleet Phospho-soda is the best laxative I have found thus far. However, I would highly recommend not taking a full bottle all at once unless you are very heavily diapered and have a whole day to allow the Fleet Phospho-soda to do its thing.
messyme  40any natural laxative is good 4 u but avoid bicarb as it damages your stomach
  I love suppositories.
