i pick him up and set him down on the changing table, and pull the strap over his chest. I pull his plastic pants off and push his shirt up, so it doesn't get wet or messy. I unpin all his diapers and then lift his legs up by the ankles with one hand. I pull the used diapers away and drop them in the diaper pail. I grab a wipe and clean him off, if he is messy, I have to use a lot of wipes. I throw the wipes away and set his legs down. Then I grab more diapers and fold them up, and I grab his ankles again and lift his legs and slide the new diapers under him. Then I grab the baby oil and squirt some on his bottom and rub it in. Sometimes around this point, he gets fussy and I have to give him a little smack on the bum to remind him who's boss. I sprinkle baby powder all over his rear and rub it in, then I set his legs down and spread them apart. I oil and powder his privates and then pull up the diapers. I then pin all his diapers and put a new pair of plastic pants on him, set him down and give him a playful smack on the butt.
