Submitted by "Tim" Age: 13 I work for a discount department store in the Midwest. Several years ago, a customer called me about some products for bedwetting children. She told me that her 13 year old son wets the bed and she was looking at some absorbent products for children his age. She inquired about some XL-Goodnites and I told her that I would look for what she needed and call her back. Unfortunately we were all out of the XL-Goodnites at the time. I called the customer back and told her that we were currently out of the Goodnites. I also went on telling her that we do carry some large size diapers, such as Depends and our own store brand. I further went on telling her that if she decided to purchase disposable diapers for her son, that maybe she should purchase the Attends fitted briefs (diapers) with the waistband, as they are far more comfortable than the Depends diapers (from experience). I also asked if her son had a small waist, it was possible that he might be able to fit into the Pampers size 6 disposable diapers. She thanked me for my help and decided to purchase some of the Attends disposable diapers for her 13 year-old son. After about a week, our store received our shipment of the Goodnites XL and I called the customer to let her know that I could put aside several packages for her if she wanted. She told me that she would be in later that night. Prior to 7am that evening, this customer and her son came into my store to purchase the Goodnites XL. She admitted that her son was embarrassed in having to wear a regular type disposable diaper at night and she wanted to try the Goodnites XL on her son. I could tell that the son, who said nothing, was embarrassed that his mother was so open about his bedwetting and his need for diapers. I brought out the several jumbo packages of the Goodnites XL and placed them in her shopping cart. She once again thanked me for the great customer service and paid for her merchandise. When ever she needed more Goodnites, she would call me and ask if I could save some for her. She also told me that his wetting wasn't stopped and sometimes she had to go back to using the Attends disposable diapers, as once in a while he leaked through his Goodnites and on to his bedding. This continued for a couple of years, but what the real kicker of this story is that this 13 year-old son is now 16 years old and was just hired by our company as a part-time sales associate. I wonder if he remembers me in helping with his diapers in the past, but I will not bring up the subject with him because of my professionalism in my position. I also wonder if my new 16 year old associate still wets the bed and wears disposable diapers at night for his nightly problem. I can tell by looking at him that I'm sure that the Goodnites XL will no longer fit him or given him enough protection a growing young man needs, so that's why I wonder if he still is in night diapers! Ages: 15, 16 While talking one of my employees (he knows that I need to wear diapers), I had asked him if he could use some Pampers size 6 for his 8-month old son. I explained that I had purchased these Pampers as a extra liner inside my own disposable diaper for better nighttime absorbency, but really didn't like the comfort. He told me that he would be happy in taking the Pampers size 6 off from my hands as he told me that sometime down the road, his son would be able to fit into these disposable diapers. While we were talking, he asked me about my condition and about my need for diapers. Even though this employee is pretty young (19 or 20) I find it very pleasing that he is so open about talking to me about my condition or the need for diapers. (I really don't have a condition, but some of my employee's know that I wear them and I tell them that I have a bladder condition). This young man also works for the Local School district as a Audio/Video/Computer technician. He sets up the High School and Middle School's computer programs and helps with students computer knowledge. He told me that there are a few students in the Middle School that have some type of problems and need daytime protection. He also went on telling me that one student in the High School that he tutors on computer class wears disposable diapers, as he can hear the crinkling sound when ever this student moves about. He tells me that kids today are pretty understanding about other kids problems and they don't tease this young man because of his problems or that he still has to wear diapers all the time. It would be nice to might this young man, but it would be out of the question, because...1, his Age and 2, that it would unprofessional of my employee to give out names of his students. It's nice to know that there are some High School kids out there wearing disposable diapers to school.
