Name: Steve Ages: 5, 6, 7, 8, 12 I had worn diapers most every night of my life, but when I was six I remember a very traumatic experience. To try to help me and my four year old brother stay dry at night, my parents started keeping a star chart on the wall to mark when we had dry nights. The goal was to go for one whole week without wetting and then we would be able to graduate to big boy underwear. I had always wet at least three or four nights a week, but I remember being excited to work at it. And work I did. Every night I tried my hardest not to wet, but no matter how hard I tried I just couldn't seem to control it. What made matters worse was that by the third week, my four year old brother was already down to only two wet nights and I had been wet four nights. After another two weeks my brother had only wet one night during that week. My dad compared my chart with his and tried to build the competition for me to work harder, but no matter how hard I tried I just couldn't seem to stop. On my seventh birthday, my dad showed us our charts and revealed that my brother had been dry for exactly one week and he would be able to wear his barney underwear. That night I was so embarrassed when I had to lay down and be put into a diaper as my four year old brother put on his new underwear.
