Name: Charles Ages: 5, 6, 7 Current Age: 28 A while back my work as a repairman took me to an apartment complex where I was to fix a washing machine in the laundry room. As I entered the room I was aware of some things hanging on a clothesline that was setup at the far end of the room. I did not really pay attention to what was there and went about my work. After I had repaired the machine I tested it out and while it was running I looked around a little and it was then that I noticed on one of the lines there were 2 pair of vinyl pants. I walked over in the direction and looked at them closer they had both been worn many times as they were beginning to show their age. One of the waistband tags was unreadable the other tag said "Youth Medium" on it. I finished up and left the premises, not knowing or seeing any more than that. A couple of weeks I had to go back to the apartment laundry room this time there was only one pair of vinyl pants hanging on the line. Again, I did the repairs and left. About a month later I returned to the building and did another repair; this time there were three pair of vinyl pants hanging on the line and a dryer was running. I did the repair and was finishing up when a women walked into the room, We said hi, talked a moment, and I found another problem that needed to be taken care of and I started on that one. Meantime, the women and I talked some more. The dryer stopped and she went over emptied it into her basket. She went over to the clotheslines and took down the three pair of vinyl pants and put them one her basket. She looked at me, blushed slightly and said, "they're not mine." She explained that her son wet the bed 3 or 4 times a week and he wore a Velcro diaper and vinyl pants to bed. I told her that my son was also a nighttime wetter but he wore pull-ups. She told me that her method was easier for her being a single mom and had to control costs. We still see each other once in awhile when I'm working in the building. There are vinyl pants hanging on the clothesline just about every time I go there.
