My 11th birthday on August 8th, 2003 was the worst birthday I've ever had. The kids in my neighborhood always held a bike race occasionally on the top of a hill in our sub. That year I received a beautiful 18- speed mountain bike for my birthday that had new shocks, brakes, and even lights on it. Of course, one of my friends suggested that we have a bike race with it. And so we did. We all lined up on the very top at the start. READY! SET! GO! We started to pedal, and I moved to the front. However my lead quickly ended when I slipped on some gravel when I turned which made me fly off my new bike and into a large boulder on the side of the road. Upon impact, I felt a sharp pain go through my lower stomach. Suddenly, without control, I started to pee in my shorts. My leg felt really bad too. Yes, I did cry. It really hurt. Luckily my parents saw me crash so they quickly rushed down to me. Then all went black. .. ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... When I woke up, I was in a small hospital room. My leg hurt alot and was in a cast. I could feel the cast under the bed sheets I was in. A white striped gown replaced the clothes I was wearing before, which were now sitting on the chair beside the bed. I noticed something else. An large opened bag was next to me. It read "HealthFocus Premium Youth Incontience Pants" on it. I knew what it meant thought...diapers. It also said things like "New custom design for youth ages 10-13"; "Can even hold stool!"; "Disposable!"; and "New! Absorb-Loc feature that traps liquids and odors!". Quickly I realize what I was wearing. I pulled the sheets away, and the gown up revealing the diapers I was wearing. Now I was even more confused. "Why am I wearing these? And did I use them" I thought, because they were wet. Suddenly I heard the door handle turn. I quickly pulled the gown down and the covers up and acted asleep. A doctor and my mom walked in. My mom shook me a little and "woke me up"...
