The Baby Ranch – Prologue 'Thank you Grandparents,' I thought to myself as I drove my F-350 Dualie Crew cab pick up through the gates of the 'LAZY S RANCH.' The 'LAZY S', a 4750 acre cattle ranch and farm in Montana's BIG OPEN COUNTY - the EASTERN PART of Montana - was founded by my relatives in the 1860s. My dad or my uncles didn't like ranching, so my dad moved to Glasgow, Montana and opened up a boat showroom. My granddad knew I loved this place, so when they decided to retire, they sold me the ranch, lock, stock and barrel. Driving up the driveway, I thought I saw a boy walking in the field. When I looked again, the boy was gone, so I thought I was dreaming. I parked the truck in front of the house - a 5 bedroom 2 story farmhouse with a wrap around porch - and went in, carrying my bags. Opening the door, I looked around the house. The house, built in 1989, was modern with a large country kitchen with island, a great room, dining room, office, a laundry area with bath area and a guest bath on the downstairs, while upstairs was a huge Master bedroom with master bath, and 4 good sized bedrooms with 2 bathrooms between the bedrooms. I walked up the stairs and drop the bags in the master bedroom. I went back downstairs and went outside. I then went to the F-350, and got the Recreational Industries' Buffalo - a 6 wheeled ATC - from the bed of my truck. I got in the Buffalo and started it up and started to drive across the field. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- The Baby Ranch -- Chapter 1 Crossing the fields, I went to check the barns and the outbuilding - including the bunkhouse, where the cowhands slept. Looking around, I saw the door to the bunkhouse opening and soon, I saw the boy. The boy looked at me, then said, "Sorry sir, I needed a place to sleep." "That's okay. What are you doing here? Did you run away?" I looked at him and his jeans were wet. "No sir, my mom put me on a Greyhound in Chicago and she give me a ticket to Glendive. My mom and her boyfriend didn't want me, but I didn't know what to do. I started to walk and since it was getting dark, I decided to go and sleep in a barn. I'm sorry, sir." "Want to sleep in the house, son?" I asked him. My sister is an social worker in Illinois, so I decided to see if I could talk to her. "What is your name, son?" The boy handed me an envelope, then said, "Mom gave me all the important papers. She said that she didn't want me, so she sent me away. Her boyfriend was a bigwig in a big company, so she wanted to be someone," he sniffed. I looked at the envelope and saw that he was 'John Smith.' The boy looked to be about 9, and the birth certificate confirmed that. His birthday was 3 days ago. 'I doubt that his name is John Smith or his birthday was 3 days ago,' I thought to myself. I looked at the boy and said, "What's your name, son? I'm Carl Selwyn." "Hello, sir," the boy said, "I'm John Smith." John looked at me and then said, "At least that is what I've been told. I doubt my last name is Smith." John then peed his pants and left a wet spot on the floor. He started to cry and said, "Please don't hit me. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to." He sniffed. "John," I said, "I am NOT going to hit you. Did your mom hit you when you wet?" I reached my hand to reassure him, but he was scared I guess he thought I would hit him. "I guess you don't want ME around, either. Noone wants me." John sniffed. He picked up his backpack and said, "I'll leave." I looked at John and said, "If you want to stay you can. I think you need a bath and your clothes needs washing. Where are you going to go?" John looked at me and said, "You want me to stay? I guess you'll get mad at me. What'll your wife say?" "I don't have a wife, son. If you want to stay you can but you'll have to obey the rules. One is that you'll sleep in the house, unless you ask to sleep out in the bunkhouse." I looked at John and said, "Another is that I want you to wear diapers. I should call my friend to see if he can give you a check up." "Diapers?" John said. He looked at me with hope in his eyes. "I can stay with you?" "Hopefully forever, son. Just because you wet, it doesn't bother me. Want a look around the ranch that we are part of?" I looked at him and thought that he was perfect. We walked over to the Buffalo and I was showing John the Buffalo, which is a 6 wheel drive. John and I were talking about the Buffalo and then we got in and started up the unit. We drove around the ranch and soon we were talking about our ranch. We crossed the fields and soon, I decided to cross a stream - by going through the stream. John laughed, so I drove the Buffalo in the stream, getting us wet. After a tour of the ranch, I said, "Want to go to the house? I think we need to get washed." John said, "This is cool! I hope I can live here." John looked down and then looked at me. "Dad, will you baby me? I need..." I looked at John, and John thought I'd hate the idea. "I knew you'd hate me for that." I said, "I would enjoy babying you, son." I headed back to the house, since I still need to call my sister who works in Illinois as a social worker. I hope if John is telling the truth, I can keep him. I should get Steve over here to give John a check up. John said, "I'll be a happy baby for you. Mom and her boyfriends hated the fact that I bedwet. Mom punished me, and her boyfriends either ignore me or spanked me - or worse. I love the ranch, dad." The Baby Ranch -- Chapter 2 We drove up to the house, and John was amazed at the house. He got out of the Buffalo, then looked at the porch, which wrapped around two-thirds of the house. John looked at the porch and saw the swing on the porch. John turned to me and said, "This is cool!" He got off the Buffalo and climbed the steps to the porch. I thought if John was amazed at the porch, I wonder what he would think of the house. I looked at John and said, "Like the porch? Want to sleep out here?" I cuddle with him on the porch, after I got off the Buffalo. "I hope you'll trust me, love?" "I will, daddy," John said. "You want me to live here? Really?" He glazed into my eyes and said, "You don't mind me being a baby?" "I don't mind," I said. "Want to see your bedroom?" I kissed him on the lips. I lifted him up and cradled him and opened the door to the ranch house. I carried him into the house and said, "Would baby like a bath giving by daddy?" John smiled and said, "Yes dada!" I took him upstairs and yes, I did have a nursery in the house. I took him in the nursery, which my grandparents had for my brother's son. I had some Pampers, so I took off his dirty clothes and gave John a bath in the nursery's bathroom. After I bathed him, I dried him then took him to the changing table. He looked around the nursery and smiled. "My baby is going to be a happy little baby for daddy," I said as I put baby lotion and powder on him. I then put thick cloth diapers on him and plastic pants. I saw he was surprised, so I told him that my nephew was a TB. He wanted to know what a TB was, so I told him that a TB was a teen or pre-teen who loves diapers and being a baby. He couldn't believe it, so he asked, "You don't mind if I was?" "Nope, I want you to enjoy being a TB, love. For now, I want you to take a nap. I need to make some calls so I can adopt my son." I carried him to the crib and put him down for a nap. After covering him with a sheet, I kissed him and said, "In an hour, we can have dinner." I then left the room shutting the door. I called my sister, who was a social worker in Illinois. I told her what I knew about John Smith. "Dee, see if you can get info on this boy. I found him in the bunkhouse. He said his mom and stepdad put him on a bus to Glendive. His mom and stepdad didn't like his wetting." I told her about his birth certificate and school paperwork and what John told me. Dee said, "If you fax me what you have I'll get to work on it. Another mom who would rather be an executive's wife than a mom. I hope the idiot is worth it. Just because he might be incontinent, you don't throw him out." I told Dee that I am calling Steve next to give John a check up. Dee like that idea, so I said, "Give Dan and the boys hugs for me. Come out to the ranch someday." I then hung up after Dee said they might. I called Steve and Steve will be here in an hour. Steve, a childhood friend, grew up around here and wanted to be a doctor. Steve and I chatted for a bit, then I hung up the phone, after asking if he knew a social worker. Steve told me about a social worker and he said that he'll bring her over. I got off the phone and faxed the papers to Dee, then started some spaghetti and sauce. In Illinois, Dee Martensen was looking at the papers. 'I think I know who John is,' she thought. 'What a jerk John's mom is. John's good in school, but his mom and stepdad hates him. John'll get adopted by Carl.' "Mom," a blond haired, blue eyed boy, who is dressed in cloth diapers, blue plastic pants and a onesie, said, "What's the matter? Dad was calling you." Dee said, "Sorry, love. What does your dad want? Uncle Carl send me some papers. He found a throw away at his ranch." Dee put her 10 year old son on her lap and said, "Your dad and I love you and you won't ever get kicked out." Dee kissed her son. D.J. said, "Dad wants to know if you need anything at the store. He's going to Home Depot, so he wants to know if you need anything at Wal*Mart." Dee said, "Some food, but I can get it tomorrow. Are you guys going?" "We are," D.J. said. "Ok, lets go shopping," Dee said. "We need some food for you guys."
The Baby Ranch -- Chapter 3 Dee looked at her son, DJ, when Dee said, "I doubt Daddy will take you in just a wet diaper, honey." She grabbed DJ and carried him to his nursery, which he shared with his twin brothers - 8 year old Digby and Drew. Dee looked around the room and placed him on the changing table. She strapped him on the table and unsnapped his onesie. She gave DJ a kiss on his tummy and said, "Somebody is a good baby for his mommy and daddy." She unpinned the diapers and started to clean DJ up. She got DJ all clean and then started to dress him. She put on cloth diapers, yellow plastic pants with teddy bears on them, and light green onesie. She then put on a pair of big boy jeans and a polo shirt. She then put socks on him and then his sneakers. Dee looked at DJ and thought, 'We would never throw you out because of your or your brothers' incontinence. I hope you'll love your new cousin!' She unbuckled the strap and picked DJ up and told DJ, "Tell your brothers to get changed." Dee's husband, Dan, was at the door to the nursery carrying Digby. "I was wondering where DJ was. I was going to change and dress Dig. Drew is in the playpen in a dry diaper. Do you want to go to Wal*Mart?" He kissed Dee and said, "Love you." At the 'Lazy S', I woke up John and I saw he was wet. He looked at me and said, "Sorry, I know you don't want me either. No one wants someone like me." He looked at the floor. I was thinking who made him into a depressed kid - just because he wets doesn't make him a bad boy. I looked at his wet diapers and put my right hand on his chin and lifted his face up to my face. I smiled and said, "I want you, John. Just because you sleep-wet doesn't mean anything. I want you to be my son. I told that you aren't the only boy who sleep-wets." I said, "Just because of incontinence, you should NOT be thrown away like yesterday's garbage." John looked at me and said, "Do you mean that? No one was ever nice to me. My mom used to make fun of my wetting, my stepdad said that he was GLAD I wasn't his son and my mom said that my dad couldn't stand me." John hugged me and he started to cry. I kissed him and said, "John, I will never say that. I hate seeing a cute boy cry." I smiled at him and I thought he was very cute in just diapers. "Want to get into a dry diaper? We can then look around at the Lazy S." John looked at me and nodded his head, so I lifted him to the changing table and strapped him. I unpinned his soaked diapers and cleaned up around his penis and he giggled. I then lotioned and oiled him, then put on some cloth diapers and blue plastic pants. I looked at him and said, "My lovely BABY BOY! Would you like to be outside in just your diapers?" John said, "Ok, daddy." I unstrapped him and we went outside and got onto the Buffalo and started it up. In their Ford Excursion, Dan looked over at Dee and said, "Something bothering you at work, dear?" He reached over to her hand and kissed it. Dee smiled and said, "Sorry, not at work, love. Carl founded a boy at the ranch and he faxed me paperwork on the boy. The mom and her husband sent him on a bus to Glendive and then the boy walked from there. Carl found him in one of the bunkhouses. Carl faxed me the papers the boy had. The mom's boyfriend is a VP of one of Chicago's best-known institution. I'm going to get Carl to adopt him." "Your brother would make a great dad," Dan said. "I hope we can get up to Montana this summer. I think your brother would enjoy having a son to spoil." Dan looked at his boys and then said, "Like we do to ours." Dee said "We?" She smiled.
