Staying the Night with Kelly Clarkson Name: Quentin Age: 10 I entered a music competition. Today I had to perform on stage with my self-written song, which was called ‘What If I Had Never Let You Go’. The instruments I needed were 3 guitars, strings, a keyboard, a bass guitar and drums. At the end of the competition, the jury decided who the winner was. “On the 3rd place…” the jury said, “…‘Turn Your Love Around’ from Andy George.” The 12-year old Andy George walked up the stage and stand at the right side of the prize circle. “On the 2nd place…” the jury said, “…‘U Make Me Wanna...’ from Dexter Jones.” The 11-year old Dexter Jones walked up the stage and stand at the left side of the prize circle. “On the 1st place…” the jury said, “…the winning song: ‘What If I Had Never Let You Go’ from Quentin Davidson.” I couldn’t believe it. I just won the competition. Immediately, I walked up the stage and stand in the middle of the prize circle. “Congratulations,” the host said, while he looked at me. “Your prizes are: staying a few nights with Kelly Clarkson, recording your self- written song on a real single-CD and making a music clip for your self- written song.” I was glad to hear that. “Thanks a lot,” I said. “I still can’t believe I won, but I would like to thank everybody who helped me becoming a winner and… to me, the other participants are also winners.” Andy, Dexter and the other participants were grateful to hear that. Then, I said: “That’s why I want to sing a song, together with the other participants, because we created that song together.” “Okay,” the host said. “Good luck.” The other participants also got on stage and stand next to Dexter, Andy and me. Our song was called ‘Here we are’. The next day I went to the BMG studio. At the entrance, I saw Kelly Clarkson. I stepped out of the car and shook hands with Kelly. “I really enjoyed your performances,” she said. “Those 2 songs were absolutely fantastic.” “Thanks,” I said. Then, we got out my suitcases and went inside. After 2 hours, we recorded the original version from ‘What If I Had Never Let You Go’ and saved it on the computer. We also created the acoustic version, the extended version, the instrumental version and the music clip. When that was finished, we put everything on a maxi-single-CD. Kelly and I were both happy about it. Of course, the single was sent to every music-shop in the world. “Let’s call your parents,” Kelly said. “I’m sure that they’re glad for both of us.” “Okay,” I said. Kelly was absolutely right. My parents were very glad. That evening (at 7:00 PM), we arrived at Kelly’s house. We took off our shoes and put them on the ground. Kelly’s husband and daughter were on a vacation, so Kelly and I were luckily on our own. After dinner, we decided to go to bed. “Before I forgot,” Kelly said. “I have a surprise for you.” She opened a cupboard and got out a package of Pampers Baby Dry Size 6, a box of baby wipes and a bottle of baby powder. “Wow!” I said. “I don’t know what to say, Kelly.” “You don’t have to say anything,” Kelly said. “Can I put a diaper on you?” “Of course you can,” I said. Kelly got out a diaper and unfolded. I took off my socks, my clothes and my underwear. I threw them in the washing machine and got back in the living room. Kelly made me lie down on the changing table and placed the diaper under my butt. She cleaned my privates and my butt with some baby wipes. Then she put some baby powder on my privates and my butt. She lifted up the diaper and put the tapes on it. When she was finished, I stood up. “From now on…” Kelly said, “…your diaper will be your bathroom. I’ll change you when you’re ready.” “Okay,” I said. The next day, I woke up and noticed that I was about to poop. Immediately, I took off my PJ’s and my underwear. I put them on my bed and started to poop in my diaper. When I was finished, I walked to the bathroom. I took my PJ’s and my underwear with me. Kelly was waiting for me. “Do you need a diaper change?” she asked. “Yep!” I said. After putting a new diaper on me, Kelly threw the dirty diaper in the trash bag. After having a breakfast, we decided to watch TV. We saw the music clip from my song at MTV. The host of the program said (when the music clip was over): “Quentin Davidson with ‘What If I Had Never Let You Go’. This song entered at number 1 in every hit parade in the whole world. That was it for today, see you next time. Bye-bye!” Kelly turned off the TV and was glad to hear it. “I’m sure we’re going to earn very much money with it,” she said. “We could also get a golden record, a silver record, a bronze record or a platinum record.” “I hope so,” I said. “Staying the night with you is great, Kelly.” “Good,” Kelly said. She gave me a big hug, but immediately, I had a vision. In that vision, I discovered that Kelly was my biological mother. When the vision was over, I told Kelly about it. “Then you are…” she said, “…my son Luke.” “If you say so,” I said. “What else did you see?” Kelly asked. “I saw my fake parents,” I said. “They stole me from you, when I was a baby.” When she heard that, Kelly became very angry. “When I get those crooks…” she said. Immediately, I said: “This is a job for the police… mum. If we knock my fake parents down, the police will arrest us too.” Kelly calmed down and said: “You’re right, but well, at least I have you back. Right now, I should call you Luke, but I’m used to call you Quentin, so I’ll keep using that name, all right?” “That’s okay,” I said. We called the police and told them the whole story. They arrested my fake parents and put them into jail. They were angry, because Kelly and I discovered the truth, but we both forgave them. “But there’s one thing you gotta promise us,” I said. “What then?” my fake mother asked. “If you want to have a child from someone else,” Kelly said, “you must ask the real parents for permission. Do we have a deal?” My fake father said: “We got a deal.” My mother, my father and my little sister were glad to have me back. “From now on,” my father said, “we will never let anyone steal you from us again.” I said: “Thanks, dad.” Together with my family and my friends, we wrote more songs and became more famous than al times. Of course, we all lived happily ever after.
