Russ's Diapered Days

Summary: All boys around their 10th birthday lose bladder control and go back into diapers for the next 2 or 3 years, until puberty has set in and they can regain control. This story is about Russ, and covers the months from the age of 12 years 9 months until 13 years 1 month. Russ's dad, uncle & grandpop think the world of him. All take a turn at diapering this fine young man.

All boys around their 10th birthday lose bladder control. It’s a natural part of pre-puberty, whereby the prostate gland grows out of proportion to the bladder during pre-puberty, causing the bladder to be pressed against and making boys lose control of urine. This is not painful, just embarrassing. By 12 to 13, boys start to grow out of this because puberty is setting in and the prostate slows down its growth rate. Once the bladder grows to even capacity with the prostate, boys regain the sense of when it’s time to pee and they can be re-toilet trained.

To deal with this world-wide phenomena, boys go back into diapers at age 10, and stay in them until they have been successfully toilet trained, usually 2 to 3 years later. All of the brands for babies, such as Pampers, Huggies and Luvs make diapers for boys too. They’re sold in the same aisles of the stores as the baby sizes, but the packaging is age-appropriate to the boys who wear them. Commercials on TV for boys size diapers are common, especially on stations that show cartoons and programs aimed at boys of this age. Dads and other adult male family members take charge of changing their pre-pubescent boys. Male teachers and principals do the honors while the boys are at school, and every school for boys between the grades of 4th-8th has an ample stock of diapers for all of those changes. Lavatory breaks for these boys means going to the change room for a fresh diaper.

It was January, 1994, and snow was falling that Friday night. Russ was 12 years old and 9 months. His grandpop & uncle stopped by to visit and to spend the night, as their homes were 2 hours away. Russ was seated at the kitchen table about 7:00 pm eating his dinner. About 2 inches of his white plastic Pamper were showing above his jeans as he sat there. His sweatshirt did not come low enough to compensate for the drooping pants leaving 2 inches of his diaper showing. Everyone hung out in the kitchen for close to half an hour, before it was decided that grandpop and Uncle Mark would spend the night. Once desert was done, Russ proposed that everyone go in the living room to watch the movies his dad had rented.

"I can't wait to see...I heard it's really cool..."

But his dad said, "first you need your diaper changed."

Russ has a bit of an "awe bummer" look on his face, and his dad says, "you've been in that diaper since you got home from school. You'll float away soon if you don't get changed." Everyone chuckles and Russ, says "okay."

Russ gets out of his chair to head to his bedroom on the second floor for his diaper change, and his dad proceeds to follow. Grandpop gets up and says, "Russie, are yeh too wet to hug your grandpop."

"Nah" says Russ, and the two embrace.

"It's great to see you," says grandpop, and Russ says "it's great to see you too, pop."

Grandpop pats Russ on his bottom with one hand and tickles his stomach a little bit with the other and says "are you drenched?" He tickles him a little more and says again, "are you drenched?"

Russ nods yes with a smile, and chuckles. Grandpop says to Russ's dad, "I'll change him if you want, and you and Mark can do the dishes if you want."

"Okay," says the dad. "Russ, take pop's bag up for him."

Grandpop changes Russ, and then both come back downstairs. He was really wet, but his diaper had not leaked. The next morning, Russ comes down stairs early, about 8:30, while everyone else is still asleep. He had slept in a blue sweat suit and of course a Pampers underneath. His dad had changed him again right before he went to bed around 1:00 am. When he got downstairs, his uncle had slept on the sofa bed in the living room. His uncle awoke but stayed in bed, and Russ went down and sat on the edge of his bed, then he lay next to his uncle. The two started to wrestle a bit, but then Uncle Mark noticed a wet spot on Russ's pant leg, on his rear thigh right below where his diaper stopped.

Mark said, "uh-oh, somebody's got a leaky diaper on. Your pants are wet."

"Go get me a Pamper and a towel, and I'll change you down here."

"Okay," said Russ, and he went upstairs. A minute later, Russ comes back with a Pamper, a towel and some wipes. His uncle says, "good goin, just put em down here," and he pulls down his nephew's sweat pants while he stands next to the sofa bed. Russ steps out of them, and his uncle tells him to lay down on the bed, and he changes him right there. Mark takes Russ's wet Pamper, folds it up, retapes it so it is compact, and lays it down on the end table by the sofa bed. Then they resume there wrestling/tickling match on the bed, with Russ in just his sweat shirt, socks and Pamper. Eventually, others come downstairs and they eat breakfast in the kitchen.

Russ's dad says, "I see your uncle got you changed already, thanks Mark."

"No problem, says Mark I didn't want to get wet during our wrestling match." Russ sat at the kitchen table with the men, and his older brother, in his sweat shirt and Pamper.

In April of 94, Russ had already passed his 13th birthday, and he and his dad and brother spent the weekend at Grandpop's house, and Uncle Mark stopped by on Saturday. That night, Russ's dad said told the boys to get their showers and to get ready for bed. When Russ was done his shower, his dad was seen by Uncle Mark walking toward the bedroom with a Pamper. He could see Rob being diapered on the bed while he was at the kitchen table.
