Judge Judy Summary: A made up case that "appeared" on the Judge Judy show. I have noticed that there are many "fan fiction" stories that involve bedwetting and wearing diapers. Stories that most commonly involve anime (which I can't stand). So, that is why I decided to write this story involving Judge Judy, about a make-believe civil suit that was filed on her show. I hope you enjoy it! The bailiff walked out in the lobby of the courtroom of Judge Judith Schindlin, calling for Maria Santos and Anne Hart. They both are "soccer moms" in the most way. Maria is the mother of 9 year old Alex. Anne is the mother of Alex's best friend, 9 year old Justin. The two boys are on the same Little League team in suburban Minneapolis. Along with the baseball team, they were both also on the same soccer team in the fall and the same hockey team in the winter. The boys were also in the same class and lived next door to each other. Even though they were really close, there was one secret that Alex kept successfully from Justin. He was a bedwetter. The more that Justin thought about it, the more he should have known. Alex rarely invited Justin up to his room, and they never had a sleep over. Until one day, Anne and her husband John, thought it would be a good idea for Justin to invite Alex over for the night. Alex kept telling him no, and Justin was persistent on him coming over. So, Alex finally decided to stay the night. This was two months ago. And that brings us to the courtroom. Both of the adults were swore in as the two boys sat down in the accompanying chairs. They told about the sleepover, and that the boys are still best friends, and they still get along. The reason they were standing there against each other was because of a mattress. Anne was suing Maria for $200 for the price of the mattress that he had peed on the night that he spent there. Anne said that if she had known that Alex was a bedwetter, then she could have gotten a plastic sheet for the mattress, or thought up of something that they could've done. Maria's argument was that she wasn't sure that he should stay in the first place, and that was the reason why. She said that they were persistent in having him come over and stay the night. So, finally, Alex went a head and stayed the night, and consequently he wet the bed. Maria then through the court a shocker. She said that they shouldn't sue her for her son being a bedwetter because according to Alex, Justin, too, wet the bed that night. The judge then turned her attention to the two boys. She asked them about the night and if they are still friends to break the ice. They admitted that they are still friends, and their parents still let them hang out despite the pending law suit. She said that that was a good thing. Then she asked Alex if it was true that he had an accident that night. He said that he did. She then asked him if he frequently had accidents. Embarrassed, Alex correctly answered with a meek "Yes." She then asked Justin if he wet the bed, and Justin too, answered that he did. She said o.k. and started to talk the mothers again. She asked Maria why she didn't say anything to Anne about her son being a bedwetter. Maria said that she didn't want to embarrass her son, and that she was hoping that he would have a dry night. The judge then asked her if she had ever used bedwetting diapers. She said that she had, but Alex didn't like using them. She said that it made him feel like a baby. The judge had heard enough. She was ready to render her verdict. The judge awarded the plaintiff the $200 that she was seeking, and then had the litigants leave the courtroom. Outside the courtroom, Maria said that she didn't think she was responsible for it. She said that a lot of kids have accidents and that she apologized for the incident. She also said that it was Anne's son that was persistent in him coming over for the night and that Alex would've never volunteered to go over there on his own. Anne said that if she had known that Alex was a bedwetter, she would have done all she could to accommodate him, after all, her son too, was a bedwetter. AFTER THE COURT APPEARANCE The two boys remained best friends, closer as a matter of fact. The fact that they were bedwetters gave them closer bond. Some of the kids on their team and in their school saw the episode of Judge Judy that the two boys appeared on, and of course, as a lot of things do, it got around real quick. Some of the kids teased them for a little bit, but the teasing didn't last that long, so they were back in the "popular" crowd at school. The two boys stayed the night at each other's hose several times, after, of course, certain accommodations were made at Justin's house. Anne bought a plastic sheet to put over the other mattress that she bought with the money she won from the lawsuit. Anne and Maria are still good friends and often the two families go to dinner and other places. They spend a lot of time together drinking tea and playing cards. I guess this goes to show that even though you sue somebody, it doesn't mean that you have to be enemies, as a matter of fact, it only drew the two families closer.
