ADMONITION:

The following narrative is nearly a complete work of fiction. Some events and characters are pulled from real life, but have been changed, enhanced and twisted to comply with my will. Any other similarity to actual individuals living or dead is completely unintentional, but it would be incredible!

WARNING:

The following story contains diaper use, violence, adult language and strong sexual content. If reading a coming of age story about boys wearing diapers and exploring their awakening sexuality doesn’t tickle your pickle, or if pickle tickling is illegal in your area, then I suggest you select something else to read.

Chapter 2 - Part 1

Old enemies and new friends

I think no one in class paid him any attention. Everyone just was thankful for the interruption and used the time to talk with a classmate about the weekend, their plans for summer holidays, or just did anything else.

“Ok, Nathaniel. Thank you. Please take the vacant seat over there. Now where have we been…?” Mr. Mathers droned and everyone became quiet again.

The rest of the day went by without any mentionable events, except for the fact that we got a bunch of homework like any other Monday during this year. I didn’t waste any thought about the new kid and didn’t look him over either.

When I went into class the next morning, someone behind me stumbled. At least, that was what I thought had happened, because someone took hold of my shoulders and brought me down to the ground with him. Being very mad, I turned around to tell this blithering idiot what I thought of him. However, when I saw his face, I was flabbergasted. I looked into the most angelic countenance I have ever seen in my whole 12-year-old life. It was the new student, who hastily apologized, “I-I’m sorry! Someone shoved me and tripped me up!”

At this very moment, Billy Olsen pushed past us, while laughing. Who else but natch could have had such a glorious idea to trip up the new student? However, in hindsight, I should be grateful to him. If he hadn’t jostled Nathaniel, I might not have recognized him before the start of summer holidays and might have missed the chance to get to know him. At least, that was exactly, what I was wishing for at that moment… to get to know him and become his friend.

I wanted to say ‘it’s ok’, but couldn’t get out a word. My mouth suddenly went entirely dry. All I could do was, to look in those beautiful blue eyes. Boy, he’s such a cutie! I think that’s the moment, I fell in love with him.

“Are you ok?” Nathaniel asked me.

“Huh?” was all that came out of my mouth, as I continued to sit there on the floor all the while staring at him like a complete fool. Then, I somehow managed to at least nod my head yes. Nathaniel smiled and I felt myself blushing. When he stood up and went past me to his place, I snapped back to reality. I pulled myself together again, got to my feet and as fast as I could without attracting attention, I ran, with low hanging head, to my seat in the back. Man, that sure was embarrassing! My head buzzed like a beehive and I couldn’t think clear anymore. The only thought that still was clear in my mind was that I wanted to get to know this boy so eagerly. But, how should I do that?

The whole day I couldn’t concentrate on class and just thought about Nathaniel. Every now and then, I tried to catch a glimpse of him, without my classmates, or worse yet Nathaniel, noticing. But unfortunately, I could only see him from the back back.

I thought about perhaps approaching him during first recess. That thought grew into a plan to wait and see where he was going and if he was talking to someone else. Then I could think about what to do next or how to best approach him. Even though it’s unlikely, he might know someone at school, which I know too. It would make it much easier for me, because I wouldn’t have to approach Nathaniel directly.

However, when the bell rang, Nathaniel remained seated. I didn’t want to attract attention and remain seated too. Besides, hadn’t I got up, our teacher would have shooed me out. I didn’t know if Nathaniel had the permission to stay in class during recess, or if maybe the teacher wanted to talk to him, so I decided to get out for the time being. However, I tried to take my time and once outside the classroom, I wait just outside the door for Nathaniel to come out. Unfortunately, the teacher from the class next door saw me standing there.

“What are you doing here?” She said, “You know, you aren’t allowed inside during recess!”

“Yes, uh I’m just waiting for my friend. He’s still in class.” I answered hastily.

“There is no loitering in the halls. You can wait outside for him too! Now go, before I take you to the principal’s office!”

Disappointed I turned around and bailed off.

When I went out of school, I stayed close to the doors, so I would see Nathaniel coming out. Sadly, he never came.

As I got back to class after recess, Nathaniel wasn’t sitting at his desk any longer. Did I miss him when he came out to the playground? Where has he been? I went on to my desk and just as I was sitting down, Nathaniel came back into the classroom. So, he hasn’t been inside all recess long, but where the heck has he been then? I don’t think he came out to the schoolyard. At least I’m pretty sure I didn’t miss him.

In third period, we had to write an essay. That is, when he suddenly got up and went to the teacher’s desk. He whispered something and I was really surprised when Mrs. Sullivan, our English teacher, gave him a hall pass without any further comment. As he left the classroom, for the first time I could see his whole appearance pretty good. I couldn’t believe what I saw and, with my jaw dropped, I sat there like I’d been struck by lightning.

“Holy cow! His pants are bulging out! It almost looks like he would be wearing a diaper.” I thought. “How the heck did I miss that when he tripped over me earlier?”

About 20 minutes later, he came back, gave Mrs. Sullivan the hall pass and went back to his seat. I struggled to try to see his diaper, or at least some evidence, that he indeed was wearing one and it wasn’t just wishful thinking on my part. However, in the short moment when he went to his seat, I could only see his bulging out pants again and that could come from too long of a shirt, which he had tucked into his trousers. However, if he didn’t go to the nurse, like I thought at first, why was he allowed to leave class in the middle of the period? Or did he just go to the bathroom… but that wouldn’t have taken so long, would it? Maybe he had to go to the secretary’s office or something like that… after all, he was a new student and maybe he needed to fill in some papers; then again, what do I know? All of a sudden, I wasn’t so sure anymore about the diapers, but I’m going to find out about it, that’s as certain as ten dimes buys a dollar.

“Perhaps it will work out next recess. Maybe he won’t stay in class then and I can follow him.” I silently thought to myself.

More than ever, I wasn’t able to concentrate on my essay anymore after this ‘discovery’ and at the end of class I had just written a half page, what meant, that I probably had to finish it at home with all the other homework. Boy, homework sucks so much!

At forth period my history teacher caught me with my pants down, so to speak. I was working on my essay, while he held a lecture about some boring historic event in his monotone voice. The outcome was that I had to stay in class next recess, presumably to listen to his lecturing yet again.

“Dang, that can’t be true!” I thought.

I just hoped Nathaniel would leave at last again. If the preaching won’t take too long and if I apologize to Mr. Gaynor, I might still be able to follow Nathaniel without having to look for him all over the playground again.

Once again, I kept myself busy with glancing over to Nathaniel, so I wouldn’t doze off during the boring gobbledygook from Mr. Gaynor and provide him with any more reasons to keep me in during recess. Just like the rest of class, Nathaniel looked like he was drifting off at any moment, though I just could see him at an angle from behind. An agonizing 30 minutes later, the long awaited ringing of the bell came, announcing the end of class and the beginning of recess, which was what everyone sorely needed now.

When Nathaniel got up and was one of the first to leave class, I felt like an unlucky fellow. Slowly I got up and, with my head low and a sheepish look, went to the front of the room to Mr. Gaynor’s desk. My sheepish look hadn’t anything to do with the fact, that I got caught doing homework during class. Rather it was because I again couldn’t follow Nathaniel. However, it seemed like it had a nice side effect, because I almost got the impression Mr. Gaynor felt sorry for me for keeping me back during recess. Also, I have to admit, I really hate history class, with that said, Mr. Gaynor is one of the more likeable teachers and rather fair.

“Now, don’t look so crestfallen. I won’t bite your head off.” He said when I stood in front of him.

“You haven’t disturbed before and your grades, though they sure could be better, are not that bad either.” He continued, “Given that it’s the end of the school year, I’m going to let you get away with a warning. But, should I catch you disturbing my class again, you will be able to look forward to a meeting with Mr. Russel! And now get lost!”

I couldn’t believe it, but it seemed luck was back on my side. I flew out of the room like a cannonball.

“And don’t run!” Mr. Gaynor yelled after me.

Immediately I slowed down and shouted a short “sorry” back.

When I came outside, I started scanning the area around the entrance for Nathaniel, but he wasn’t anywhere to be seen, so I went over to the playground. But also the search there and over by the sport area wouldn’t bring him out.

“Heck!” I exclaimed loudly, except I didn’t say ‘heck’ but the real swear word. Luckily, there weren’t any teachers around to hear me; otherwise, I sure would have been in serious trouble. Though, some fourth graders who were near me apparently heard me and looked at me with a somewhat shocked expression.

“Sorry!” I said and walked away from them.

Just as I was about to start over again and search the schoolyard a second time for Nathaniel, the bell rang and proclaimed the end of recess. Disappointed about the second missed chance, I returned to my home classroom.

Because I was back near the entrance when the bell rang and entered the halls as one of the first, I figured I would see him returning to class. You sure can imagine my amazement as I saw Nathaniel already sitting at his place when came back into class.

What’s wrong with this boy?” I thought to myself. “Is he avoiding me? Maybe he noted something. Maybe he became aware of me glancing over at him during class. What, if I screwed it up before it even began? What, if he thinks I’m weird and now he’s avoiding me because of it?

Fifth and sixth period went by uneventfully, except for me really concentrating on class this time, to distract my thoughts from Nathaniel and just in case he saw me sneaking peeks of him before, I made an effort, not to look toward him again.

To be continued…
