Little Lie, Big Trouble Summary: Shane tells a little lie to explain his diaper-wearing and lands himself in a situation where all he knows are diapers. It was 5:30 in the morning and Shane was still in bed when his mother opened the door to wake him for school. She did this every day when it was time to get ready for school. Shane had to be up by 5:30 because he needed to take a shower every morning and be out of the house by 6:30. But this morning it was a bit warm in Shane’s room, and as you may know, you tend to sweat a lot in the diaper area when they are tightly fastened. So when his mother opened the door she noticed he was laying on his side and his bottom was facing the door. Shane’s mother always bought all his clothes because he was only 15 and she was certain that she had not bought him any whitey tighties because Shane complained that he only wanted boxers, so the sight of something white on his bottom was strange. She entered his room to take a closer look before waking him. When she got to the bedside she noticed that these underwear looked a bit thick and a bit shiny. She placed her hand on them gently and noticed they were smooth like plastic and when she pressed a bit harder she noticed they crinkled. Shane was wearing a diaper! She noticed that the area over his crotch was slightly discolored so she moved her hand over it. It was warm and she realized it had recently been wet. She snuck back to the door way and called softly and woke Shane. She then shut the door. Shane got up, removed his diaper and went into the bathroom to shower. While he was in there his mother went back to his room and opened his drawers and closet she was shocked to find that four of the six drawers were completely filled with diapers. When she opened the closet she could not believe what she was seeing-- 12 unopened packages of Depends fitted maximum protection stacked up in stacks of 6. 6 packages were small/medium and 6 were large. She found that very peculiar, but what was more peculiar to her was the hundreds of diapers in Shane's room. She left the room and went downstairs to make lunches for Shane and his older sister. When Shane came down and was about to leave for the bus stop his mother called him over and gave him a kiss and a pat on the butt to find that there was no diaper there. She pulled Shane aside and told him flat out, “I saw you in a diaper this morning and found the diapers in your room.” Shane was now blushing and she asked why. He replied that he was having a bedwetting problem and he needed them, which was a lie. Shane just liked to wear them and wet in them for fun. She asked why he didn’t come to her and he said it was too embarrassing, which was the truth. and then she asked why there were different sizes, and without thinking, he said some were for the day, which wasn’t a lie because he found that the small/medium ones fitted tighter and made less noise if he decided to wear one during the day. She backtracked and said, “I thought you said you wet the bed, not your pants.” Shane tried to cover up his story and said sometimes he wets during the day by accident. She followed that up with, “Then why aren’t you wearing one today if they are so-called ‘accidents’ and you can’t control them?” He was stuck now and he knew he was caught, though he still tried to lie his way out, but he was caught. His mother said, “If you’re going to have accidents then you’re going to wear diapers full time. Now go upstairs and get me one of the ones for the day.” Shane shamefully went upstairs and retrieved a diaper. He brought it down and met his mother in the living room she removed his pants and boxers and strapped a fresh new diaper around his waist. She pulled his pants back up and patted him on the butt again and said, “I'll see you after school, and you’d better not try and take that off. You aren’t allowed to anymore.” He had gone to school with a diaper on before, so it was no big deal and no one noticed, but when he got home he was shocked at what he saw. All of his sweatshirts, t-shirts, pants, boxers, and jeans were in big garbage bags marked “Salvation Army”. He rushed to his room pulled open his drawers and the diapers were still there and all of his athletic shorts were still there, and there on the bed were 5 packages of 10 adult-sized onesies, all white. He screamed for his mother and when she came up, She asked, “What’s wrong?” He demanded, “What is all this?!” She calmly answered, “You want to wear diapers like a baby, then I will change you like a baby.” She then laid him on the bed and removed all his clothes. He was crying now and she cleaned the urine from the day off, powdered him and placed a new diaper on him. Over that she put a onesie and a pair of shorts. He looked horrible! She said, “This is all you can wear now, and I am the only one who can change you.” A full year had passed and Shane had been wearing diapers ever since. He had earned his clothes back but now had to wear diapers because he had totally regressed and his mother still changed him every day. He will never know anything but diapers from here on out. A little lie turned into a big problem and Shane now learned his lesson and is reminded everyday the importance of telling the truth every time his diaper is changed.
